Diabetes Symptom Type 2

The following are some of the common diabetes symtoms for type 2 diabetes:

1. Feeling tired or ill
2. Unusual thirst
3. Experiencing constant hunger
4. Frequent urination
5. Weight loss
6. Blurred vision
7. Frequent infections
8. Slow healing wounds
9. Mood changes, such as, irritability

The exact cause of diabetes is still unknown; weight and diet normally help control diabetes but they are not necessarily the cause of it.

As per estimates, there are at least five to six million people living in the United States already having type 2 diabetes but they haven’t yet recognized the symptoms. Initially, the symptoms of type 2 diabetes are extremely mild and can be mistaken for other conditions.

If you do not check and control type 2 diabetes then it can eventually lead to more severe complications.

These complications can affect the eyes, blood vessels, feet, nerves, kidneys, teeth, skin and heart. However, these complications can be kept to a minimum if the blood glucose, blood pressure, triglycerides and cholesterol are kept within their normal ranges.

Diabetes Symptom Type 1

Type 1 diabetes will typically have symptoms that develop rapidly over a very short period. These symptoms generally include:

1. increased thirst and urination
2. constant hunger
3. weight loss
4. blurred vision

In the case of young children with Type 1 diabetes, they may feel very tired all the time.

Type 1 diabetes can result in a life-threatening coma called diabetic ketoacidosis if it is not diagnosed early and treatment with insulin started. Occasionally children with Type 1 diabetes may be misdiagnosed as gastroenteritis since some will have continued vomiting with diabetes. However, the biggest dividing factor is that gastroenteritis has decreased urination and diabetes has increased urination.

You can live a healthy, happy and long life with diabetes because today there are drugs and ways in which you can recognize diabetes symtoms. You need to check your blood sugar on a daily basis or at frequent intervals, have strict control on your diet and do regular exercises in order to keep your diabetes under control at all times.
